A note from our Head of Character, Miss Madeline. The 3C students are such a hard-working group, and their growth from the beginning of the year to now in their character class has been huge. I love their work ethic and their willingness to try anything I throw at them even if it's brand new. My goal for these ladies from now until the end of the year is to hone the details of character dance and get them comfortable with the unique nuances that you don’t see in ballet class. We are also starting some big, challenging choreography for their recital dance! It is always a joy to get to teach them! #characterdance #classicalballet #classicalballettraining #rbcpride #ryeballet #ryeballetconservatory #ryemoms #westchesterdancestudio

Meet Bess! Bess is 15 years old and has been training at RBC was she was 6! My biggest hope for my training is to take away clean technique that will allow me to dance anywhere. But also, the discipline and perseverance needed to handle anything in my life, not just ballet. ... I love RBC because of the community. Everyone is one big supportive family. Everyone wants the best for you, and you can feel it! I have met so many lifelong friends here. The dancer that inspires Bess the most is @mfairchild17. Thank you, Bess! We are so proud of you! #rbc #ryeballet #inspired #ballettraining #ryemoms #ryeny #classicalballet #studentspotlight

Meet Charlotte! Charlotte is 13 years old and has been training at RBC since she was 6! I love the environment at RBC. We are a big family. Everyone supports each other and helps each other grow, both as people and as dancers. The amazing teachers and students are always there for you when you need it. ... My biggest hope for my training is to not only grow as a dancer but as a person. Dance helps me find my inner self and teaches me important skills that I need in all parts of my life. Charlotte’s dancing idols are @isabellaboylston and @ashleybouder because they both combine flawless technique with expressive artistry. We are so proud of you, Charlotte!! Keep up the great work! #rbc #ryeballet #inspired #ballettraining #ryemoms #ryeny #classicalballet #studentspotlight

Meet Eleanor! Eleanor is 13 years old and started ballet only 1.5 years ago! She loves ballet because it gives her the ability to tell stories through her movement. She hopes to become a professional dancer one day and aspires to be like her dancing idols, @mistyonpointe, and @marianelanunezofficial . I love training at RBC because it's so focused on technique, and the teachers are so experienced. ... We are so excited about what the future hold for this young dancer! Keep up the great work, Eleanor! #rbc #ryeballet #inspired #ballettraining #ryemoms #ryeny #classicalballet #studentspotlight

When it comes to arabesques, higher isn't always better. At RBC, we believe that beautiful arabesques are controlled, clean and academically placed. . . #ryemoms #ryebrook #ryebrookmoms #portchester #portchestermoms #mamaroneck #mamaroneckmoms #harrison #harrisonmoms #scarsdale #scarsdalemoms #greenwich #greenwichmoms #oldgreenwich #oldgreenwichmoms #coscob #coscobmoms #riverside #riversidectmoms #larchmont #larchmontmoms #westchester #westchestermoms #balletclass #newyorkcityballet #rbc #ryeballet #Ryeballetconservatory

Founder, Lynne Stetson teaching RBC’s inaugural class in 1978! It is amazing to see how much our school has grown since then. Classes were first held in the gallery space of The Rye Arts Center and in the 1980s capital improvements allowed us to build one of the spaces we dance in today! I am blown away to think about how many dancers have come through our doors. We have many second-generation families bringing their children to study with us! It is such an honor to be a part of their dancing journey! Thank you, Lynne for having a dream and making it a reality!
