#HappyHanukkah! Did you know #TheodoreRoosevelt displayed two seven-arm menorahs in the North Room of his home? The menorahs were a gift from Mrs. James T. Leavitt, a family friend of TR's parents. Unfortunately, very little else is known about these curious items, including whether or not TR and the family ever placed and lit candles in them. #Hanukkah #FindYourPark Photos: 1. A gold seven-armed menorah against a white background. 2. A photo of the North Room with hunting trophies and other decorations displayed, with the menorah circled. NPS

"One of the greatest institutions of the civilized world is the family dining table." - Theodore Roosevelt, Jr., in his memoir "All In The Family". Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving from Sagamore Hill National Historic Site! We hope this Thanksgiving finds you seated at the dining table with your favorite foods and loved ones.
