North Cove Sailing

There are still a couple places available for the US Sailing Coastal Navigation course with Mark Mongold starting October 14th! Ever wonder how to read a chart? Not hit things? Not get lost? Take US Sailing Coastal Navigation to learn to read a chart, calculate set and drift, set a course to steer, learn aids to navigation and much more. North Cove Sailing is offering the course over four sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm - 10 pm starting October 14th with a fabulous instructor!. A fifth session on Monday, October 28 will be a review and exam for certification. The cost for the course, exam and all materials is $550 plus tax. Great fun to have KidSail back at North Cove Sailing! We played games, tied knots, learned new words and skills, made friends, petted puppies - but mostly we sailed!

North Cove Sailing took great pride in participating in the harbor-wide Rainbow Armada on Saturday in conjunction with the French American Yacht Club to benefit the Ali Forney Center!

On June 8th, North Cove Marina held our annual Inspire Giving Through You event, a initiative of all IGY Marinas to bring people together and help the community.... For the second year in a row, North Cove Marina partnered with the New York Food Bank to donate food to those in need. Our marina staff, community members, and members of North Cove Sailing Club came together to pack 400 pantry boxes, a total of 3,600 meals to be donated to community centers in the Bronx. Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer!
