Since 2010, the artist exchange salem2salem invites artists from the fields of installation, literature, painting, media, music, and sculpture to meet alternately in Salem, Lake Constance district, Germany and Salem, New York, USA. Due to the global pandemic, salem2salem 2020 was canceled, but six former participants have jointly realized a video project (watch here: https://youtu.be/02aeQNC8T28) from across the Atlantic on the topic of corona. #salem2salem #salemartworks #videoart #quarantineart
Our upcoming auction has art, jewelry, ceramics, metalwork, and...LITERATURE. We've got a bundle of works donated by the talented Elisa Albert (https://www.elisaalbert.com) and Edward Schwarzschild (https://www.edwardschwarzschild.com), both writers from Albany, NY. Get ready to get reading!
I got a chance last week to see how our beautiful blown glass pumpkins (in our gift shop: http://ow.ly/SQmq50BWikU) come to be! The glass studio is a fascinating place, and we can't wait to welcome students and artists back in 2021.
Hey! Anthony Cafritz got himself thrown in jail at the Historic Salem Courthouse. Now we're raising money to get him out: https://www.facebook.com/donate/1044880829282411/
SAW artists and foundry staff did an aluminum pour over the weekend. The fires are still burning (literally and figuratively) here at SAW - come visit, you never know what might be going on!
Our Glass Director has been creating blown glass pumpkins to celebrate the season. Find the one that speaks to your autumn spirit in our Gift Shop now: http://ow.ly/qlbi50BQelr.

Still working on the #518RainbowHunt? We have one here as part of improvements being made to the SAW art houses. New curtains have gone in to increase comfort and privacy, and best of all, we used a rainbow of colors!
Did you see us in the The Post-Star last Friday? Come and get your own photos while the foliage lasts!
It's a beautiful day to come visit SAW.
