Many of you may have seen us today working on the side of Route 35 in the area of Route 121. A final piece of a state grant we received approximately four years ago was to have traffic cameras installed at the intersection.

Your volunteers had a busy 24 hours! Around 4:15pm PRFD, Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Westchester Ems 45 Medic and Pound Ridge Police Department were... dispatched to Stone Hill Rd at Salem Road for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Members assisted EMS by helping the drivers out of the vehicles to get the proper medical treatment, stretched a hose line incase the leaking fluids ignited and began the cleanup. Members utilized Speedy-Dry (the cat litter like substance you see on the ground) to absorb the oil and other fluids in the roadway to make it safe for other drivers that may be traveling the area afterwards. As always we thank Sal's Servicenter: towing, recovery and road service for responding to open the roadway in a timely fashion and assist in some of the fluid cleanup! PRFD also responded to 5 other calls during the day and into the overnight hours. Don’t forget your volunteers are here for you day or night!
