Pair our Daily Takeout Dinner with @tenutadiarceno Arcanum a Merlot Blend, from Tuscany, Italy for $59 a bottle! Why We Love It: This wine is seductive, yet subtle. The palate reveals flavors of black fruits & fig, followed by a moderate plus acidity creating a balance that exudes a full-bodied texture. About The Winery: Proprietor & chairman of Jackson Family Wines, Barbara Banke, along with her children Christopher, Katie & Julia, have been intimately involved with the rejuvenation of Tenuta di Arceno. Working closely with Vignernon Pierre Seillan, Winemaker Lawrence Cronin, & vineyard manager Michele Pezzicoli, they have elevated this historic property into one of the benchmark wineries of the Chianti Classico region.

Today’s Sommelier Selection is a 2017 Sancerre Rosé, La Moussiere produced by Alphonse Mellot in Loire, France for $39 a bottle! Tasting Notes: Refreshingly crisp with red fruits, tight lemon and orange-zest acidity. It is lightly textured, with a minerality that comes from the chalk soil of the vineyard About The Maker: The Mellot family have been vinegrowers and wine merchants in the Loire since the 16th century. This branch of the family dates from the beginning of the 19th century, when Alphonse Mellot founded a tavern in Sancerre and was subsequently granted a license to ship wine within France and throughout the world. That tradition continues today with two more Alphonse Mellots, father and son, the 18th and 19th to bear that name.

Why We Love It: This wine is expressive, aromatic, elegant & clean, with classical Rioja aromas. The palate is polished & sleek, but shows plenty of energy, with very fine, mostly resolved tannins. Fun Fact: Rioja Reserva wines must be aged for at least three years, with at least one year spent in oak barrels
