Happy Indian Arrival Day to one and all!! Today marks 182 years since the Whitby and Hesperus landed on the blessed shores of Guyana, bringing the first Indians to that great land. These pioneers faced tremendous hardship and obstacles to maintain their identity. It is thanks to their sacrifices that we still have our culture to this day. Most of the activities of Sangeet Samaj are centered around that rich culture. Without the forbearance of our forefathers this would not be possible. Therefore we pay tribute to them on this momentous day. Bharat aur Guyana ki Jai!!
