Hello friends and neighbors! Just a quick post to let you know that the Saranac Lake Youth Baseball and Softball Association has opened registration for the 202...1 season! Visit our website at www.slybsa.org to sign up online. We're once again offering play for kids ages 5-12 in our T-Ball, Rookie, and Minors and Majors baseball and softball divisions. We hope to get started in a few weeks. Additionally, the league needs your help. We're looking for coaches at the T-ball and Rookie level, volunteers to help with a couple projects, new board members, and sponsors. If you'd like to help out, send us, or me, a message. Thanks! We hope that everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather, especially the students who are on their Spring Break. It was a great pleasure to put together 70 Easter baskets last week that were deliver by the Saranac Lake Central School District Family Advocate. We've yet to make a decision about this year's Bike Rodeo. Stay tuned. Kiwanis is for kids!

Thanks to the sponsors and participants of the 20th Anniversary Pat Stratton Bicycle Ride, we just donated $4500 to the community outreach programs of the Saranac Lake CSD. We were recently visited by guest speaker Erika Bezio, SLCSD Community Liaison, who shared the incredible work they're doing to support students and their families both in and out of school. From the backpack program, which helps insure that students have adequate nutrition, to working to secure internet access for distance learning, these funds are needed now more than ever. Thank you all for helping Kiwanis continue our support for area youth programs!
