The very last Sassafras wedding. Love is love. Couldn't be more thrilled to have ended with this wedding. For all of the same sex marriages that we have designed weddings for I just want to say that I was more than thrilled to celebrate with you.

We are going to start posting some favorite Sassafras moments for the next week. Here's one....Surprise Wedding on the rooftop of the Strathallan. The couple surprised their guests who thought they were attending the engagement party, but!!!! was really their wedding!

For as long as I can remember, I've had a love affair with flowers. When I was a child, I would plant them in the garden with an elderly neighbor, often choosing an afternoon of flowers over a game of hide-and-seek with friends. Even then, I knew that flowers would always be in my life. For the past 20+ years, my career has blossomed. And with each new opportunity, the blooms seem to get bigger and brighter. Opening Sassafras in 2001, was one of those big, bright blooms. I am... incredibly proud of the beautiful boutique and brand that Sassafras Flowers has become: a balance of love, nature and design. Just as one flower closes, another one bursts to life. Now I'm beyond excited to share with you my next big, bright bloom. I will be closing Sassafras at the end of June and moving on to a new opportunity as the Artisan Designer for all of Wegmans Floral. Together, we are going to make gorgeous flower designs and exceptional flower quality acessible to all. The past years with Sassafras have been the very best of my life and I am so excited to see where this new adventure willl take me. Thank you for your loyalty, support and friendship over the years.
