Employee Spotlight: Meet Valan. If you shop our Brooklyn stores you’ve definitely had the good grace of meeting him. He now heads up our fabric department in our Flatbush ave location and is the one who makes sure that every color, style, and fabric remains in stock to keep you guys happy. In 2005, Valan made his way from Barbados to pursue the American dream and after looking for a job for 2 weeks, he was hired by Save-A-Thon. He didn’t have any experience or knowledge of f...abrics but he gave us his word that he would be a conscientious and dedicated worker if given the opportunity. He has exceeded our expectations and is now one of our most valued and cherished employees. His incredibly soft demeanor and friendly and sincere personality make him not just an amazing asset to our business, but to all the lives of those who work with him.
