Please join our library’s Miss Kathy and sing along about animals, fishes, colors and enjoy lap rides with your little ones. If you have a beach ball handy for some bouncing and swaying, if not your lap is really the best place. Our story is What Makes A Rainbow? Bubbles too. https://youtu.be/74Loq2xBaHY

It's Thursday and we are throwing it back again with a historical postcard straight from The Vault at the Library! Local History Librarian, Stephanie, has this to say about this week's Sayville postcard: "Handwriting can be hard to read, but this card is written in another language! Can anyone help us decipher this message that went to Riverhead around 1908?" If you can translate the message on this postcard, post it in the comments!... Check out this postcard and more in our Digital Library: http://ow.ly/hEz350Dk4QV The Delevan[sic], Sayville, L.I.. Postmark: "Sep. _?, 8AM?, 1908?; Sayville, N.Y."

Happy Halloween from the staff at Sayville Library!!
Jody has a head for business so we picked her brain. She loves a thrilling novel with an unreliable narrator and a jaw-dropping plot. The Woman in the Window fit the bill. The protagonist has agoraphobia and really lacks basic social skulls. This book is absolutely gripping and nothing is what it seems. But we believe in karma and what ghosts around, comes around. Jody is dead serious: this book is suspenseful. #happyhalloween
Join Miss Anne for a Not-So-Spooky Storytime this Halloween Eve!
Here’s a fright-day treat: a sneak peek into our administrator’s office. Jennifer, our Library Director has been on a true crime reading kick lately. She loves a book that sends chills down her spine and several of these are unboo-lievable. Reading without her piping hot tea in hand makes her a haunt mess. Jennifer doesn’t have the heart to say it, but aorta tell you: it’s always the husband! #sayvillelibrary #worldsbestboss
