Have you read your Bible today?

If there was ever a time for national repentance and for Christians to pray for the healing of our land it is now.

Have you taken time to get into the Word today? Make sure to read and meditate on the Scriptures every day, and thank the Father in prayer. You will be glad you did! All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness2 Timothy 3:16

While you are cooped up at home, there is plenty you can still do. Turn off your electronics for a couple of hours and do something that will build you up spiritually. You’ve heard enough COVID-19 news already. Now it is time to use the tools God has provided to do something about it!

For the next few weeks, at least until the end of March, we will not be gathering for worship or Bible classes at the building on Balltown Road. Stay home, be safe, and stay healthy! With that announcement out of the way, let me say this: There is nothing...NOTHING!...that can "cancel church." The church is the body of Christ, and there is no weapon that is formed against it that will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). There is no disease or demon that can take the church down. We are m...ore than conquerors through him who loves us (Romans 8:38). I miss seeing all of you, and I look forward to when we can gather for public services again. Until then, we are still the church! So let's focus on being the body of Christ: Love one another, check in with one another, pray for one another! Encourage, edify, evangelize. Give God and his Word first place in your life.

Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding (Proverbs 23:23).

Jesus said, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid (John 14:27).

Don’t be late for Bible Class and worship! Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour before you go to sleep on Saturday.
