Sandy Maceyka, representing the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Statue Fund, receives a check for $3,058.40 from Ron Zimmerman. These were the proceeds from the "Schine on the Holidays~2019 exhibit. The statue fund was organized to procure a bronze statue of Elizabeth Cady Stanton that will be placed in the Sir William Johnson Park on W. Main Street in Johnstown August, 2020. This will coincide with the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment which gave women the right to vote in National elections. Elizabeth Cady Stanton, born in Johnstown, was a leader in the women's suffrage movement. The Schine Gallery partners with local artists to raise money for local nonprofit organizations, such as the ECS Statue Fund. The Schine Gallery is located at 40 North Main Street, in Historic Schine Memorial Hall, Gloversville.
