I want to thank everyone that donated their non-working or outdated computers to me. I was able to fully refurbish a total of 14 computers between Laptops and Desktops and two all-in-one Pcs. A big thanks to Melissa Carrington and Christine Pye for being two of the first people to jump on donating computers to me when I put the word out. Everyone who had received a computer were from various locations and we even shipped two computers to the Bronx. All computers went to fami...lies in need who provided me proof of a loss on their income due to the Pandemic or other extraordinary circumstances. Most situations that I was told about were layoffs, furloughs and many people lost a secondary job due to the Pandemic. I was surprised to hear how bad some of the computers are that the DOE gave out to children. Some parents had to actually buy their own computer because the DOE supplied computer did not work well enough. These are definitely difficult times and at the end of November I will once again put the word out for any old nonworking or outdated computers that I will fully refurbish with new SSD hard drives any other necessary parts and Windows 10 Home Edition, these will be given out to anyone in need once again. Today Scott’s Computer Repair was tasked at providing powerful WIFI to a delivery truck lot for Martins Potato Rolls here in Ozone Park. We installed a powerful WIFI repeater so that the delivery trucks can submit their delivery information via IPads onboard each truck. After installing the WIFI repeater the truck lot now has over 140 MBPS internet. Mike Sito of Martins Potato was beyond satisfied and now his business productivity can be greatly improved.
