Senior Wishes

We know our local businesses have had a rough couple of years, and so we want to give another shout out and thanks to the following businesses who supported our Sips, Suds & Sweets event! We are blessed with such a generous community. Please support them whenever you can!

Another iPad delivered to Elderwood Assisted Living at Hamburg! Denise Graca Grupp has already set up a class to teach residents, like Joan K. of the resident council, how to use it. Our thanks to Odd Fellow & Rebekah Benefit Fund for the grant allowing us to bring this joy to seniors!

Thank you to the residents, staff and visitors on Brothers of Mercy Campus who recently held a candy bar sale and donated the proceeds to the Senior Wishes program! Seniors helping seniors. In just a few days we will deliver Valentine's Gift Bags and stuffed animals to 150 residents of Mary Agnes Manor. If you'd like to donate $14 and bring some joy to a senior, please go to https://www.seniorwishes.org/donation.

Rosalie recently received her wish for paints, brushes, canvas boards and a craft box. This will help her pass the time as she is confined to bed with health issues. We surprised her with a warm, handmade blanket, puzzle books and other goodies as well. We look forward to seeing a finished piece of art!

Sadly, we aren’t able to watch our gift recipients open their presents this year. Many of the gift bags included handmade Afghans and shawls, like these beautiful ones sent to us from Sally Sentiff. Thank you to all of you who donated a handmade item!

Ethel 96, was so excited for her gift saying, you have really given me something to look forward to. Merry Christmas Ethel!

Several gift deliveries to seniors were made today including several at Niagara Rehab. We want seniors who can’t have visitors to know they are not forgotten!

We'd like to thank District Manager Cindy O'Connor, and the employees at 8 local Wendy's locations, for their donation of many blankets, bathrobes, slippers and puzzlebooks for our Simple Wishes for the Holidays program. You are going to help us bring joy to many seniors!
