Last night, we served Sweet Tahini Rolls from the wonderful cookbook #felestin by @sami_tamimi and @tara.wigley. The rolls were a hit, I'm thrilled to report. We paired them with labneh, date molasses and a date sorbet with hints of thyme. @serge_photography

We will be closed Saturday, September 12th thru Monday September 14th. We will resume our regular hours of outdoor dining and takeaway, Tuesday-Sunday on Tuesday, September 15th. Thank you for everyone's continued support; we deeply appreciate it.

I had the pleasure of cooking for a group of four last night at a private, off-site catering event. Oh, man, what a joy to cook and present our food on ceramic plates, think of negative space; how the carrot should rest on the plate; how to drizzle the infused tahini; how to cut the cherries for the shrimp, etc. It was pure joy!... Nevertheless, we will continue to serve our dishes at Serevan in takeaway containers, because it's safer: it minimizes exposure time. As a trained pilot, safety is ingrained in my consciousness; and, when I have passengers, I'm a firm believer that there's no such thing as overly safe. Until we better understand the effects of the virus, and until the medical professionals tell us that the chaotic Covid-19 storm has cleared, we at Serevan, will remain diligently cautious, adhering to the old pilots' saying: There are old pilots and there are bold pilots; but there are no old, bold pilots!

We are cooking six days a week, Tuesday's through Sunday's. Please visit SEREVAN.COM for our current menu. Currently, we only offer outdoor dining with limited table service, for our protection and yours.... Please, WEARING A MASK IS REQUIRED BY LAW, while on our premises, except when you're seated to enjoy your meal, should you decide to enjoy your takeaway at a table in our garden or on our patio. We will continue with our limited table service until further notice. Please, call us after 3pm to place your order for pickup anytime between 4 and 7:30pm. Lastly, please keep in mind our hours of operation: we have filed all the necessary documents and paperwork with the Dutchess County Health Department, which states our new operating hours and capacity. Consequently, until further notice our premises could be occupied only between 4-8pm, Tuesday's to Sunday's. We are eager to welcome you to our new normal, and like everyone else, we crave more human connections and interactions, but, alas, current circumstances require us to keep our distance. It's frustrating, nevertheless, doable! THANK YOU!
