Meet your groomer week 6 is Stephanie! My name is Stephanie Tafel. I started out 4 1/2 years ago as a groomers assistant and Shelley and Todd were kind enough to let me have my training classes here at the salon as I was just starting my dog training business, Paws and Listen. Prior to that I was in sales selling Heavy Duty truck parts. I know, quite the career change. I have always had a special love for animals and once I finished my schooling for dog training it was time ...for a change. I knew Shelley and Todd from volunteering with them and they mentioned they were looking for a groomers assistant so after a little thought I left my comfort zone and everything I knew and started my new journey. Once we reopened in May after the shutdown (Boo covid) I was given the option to broaden my horizons and learn more of the grooming rather than just bathing and prepping. Thanks to my wonderful mentor Shelley and all the rest of my spectacular coworkers I am learning so much! I have always been a hard worker and I put 100% into everything I do. I love to learn and want to gain as much knowledge as I can! I have a soft spot for the nervous/anxious dogs since 3 of mine are that way. I want to do everything I can to help them to trust me and know that everything will be OK. Because of all the nervous/anxious dogs I see come through our door I started confidence building training classes. I have 2 adult sons, Logan 22 and Landon 20 and a husband Chris. They are my world and my reason to want to be better. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats that keep me busy when I'm home. In my free time I love doing projects around the house, gardening, baking, reading (mostly dog behavior books) , crocheting and doing seminars/ watching videos to further my education. See more

I would like to do another drop in puppy socialization class. I've been booking alot of grooming appointments for puppies so I know they are out there! Cost would be $30 for an hour long class. Drop an emoji if you are interested
