ALERT: IMMIGRATION COURTS REOPENING AND CLOSURES EOIR has announced that, certain immigration courts as identified previously have resumed non-detained hearings. Hearings in non-detained cases at courts without an announced date are postponed through, and including, January 22, 2021. This includes the Immigration Courts in NYC. ... Most of the reopened Immigration Courts are conducting non-detained master hearings by telephone for those cases represented by attorneys. For merit hearings, Courts have given options to the parties (applicants and ICE attorneys) either to appear by phone or in-person.
