Well, that sucked. Nothing else to really say except that the game sucked. The Raiders fell 45-20 yesterday at Allegant Stadium. With some key players missing on both sides of the ball, and a questionable ejection of Gabe Jackson , the Raiders were short handed. You know it's not a great day when your QB is your second best rusher. Not getting your rushing game going, and not utilizing your deep threats, ( Henry Ruggs III was only targeted 3 times, catching 2 balls for... 45 yards. ) Nelson Algholor had a good game, netting 5 catches for 107 yards. Defensively, the team did not keep up the great work they showed against the Chiefs. The pass rush was not effective, with Tom Brady having all the time in the world to do what he wanted to yesterday. He was not sacked, and was only knocked down once. The most frustrating part of this, was that the team WAS IN THE GAME in the 4th quarter. Things just went wrong and it did so quickly. Paul Gunthers Defense underperformed. If we are to have any chance of success, this needs to change QUICKLY! We had a great "capacity" crowd at Peter Dillon's yesterday. We need to thank you all for your adherence to our current COVID rules situation and for making our job easier. Our appreciation to Coach Dave and Kim for all their assistance yesterday! So, that's pretty much it. Not much else to dwell on. It's time for the team to grind this week out and get ready to face the Cleveland Browns next week. Maybe beating up Baker Mayfield would make us feel better about ourselves internally ? I donno. What I do know is that it's Monday, and we all work on Monday! So, brush your teeth, tie your tie, pour some of that coffee in your mug and head out the door. WAKE THE HELL UP NATION! You know the drill, I got the first of many cups of coffee going , I've music playing at a decibel level that is too high for a Sunday morning! It's game day! A crazy season get's crazier , as our Sunday Night game that we were not going to host, now turns into the Sunday afternoon game that we are now hosting! Due to Covid rules, we might be without our Offensive line and starting Safety . We are hopeful that some tests come back negative, an...d we get some of our line back. We're going to need them too, as Tampa Bay has a pretty decent pass rush. Derek Carr is going to need all the time he can get in the pocket if he wants to build on the success of the victory over the Chiefs. Henry Ruggs III and Nelson Agholor should give the team deep scoring threats ! Josh Jacobs will be handling the rock today, let's hope whatever our line is opens holes for him. Defensively , being without Jonathan Abrams is going to hinder our secondary. So NEXT MAN UP! Up front, you know Mad Maxx and Clelin Ferrell would love nothing more then to get a good clean hit on Tom Brady ! I think the D-line might be a little anxious today! It's a year of slaying dragons and exorcising demons. Getting the Chiefs monkey off our back was a start, Now , we deal with Brady and all the hell that he represents! Based on a few questions that have been posed to us this week , I wanted to send you all few notes in regard to tomorrow’s game vs the Buccaneers. 1. Since the game was moved from 8:20 pm to 4:20 pm, Peter Dillon’s WILL be hosting the game . 2. The game was moved from NBC to Fox, and it is STILL Nationally televised. ( Revised) 3. We are still operating under limited capacity , indoors AND outdoors ( 24 in and out ), seating is first come , first served ! 21 and over , eve...n outside , no exception! 4. The weather report for tomorrow is less then pleasant. I would advise getting here early. We’ll be monitoring the NFL and if there are any more changes , we will let you know ASAP ! We don't know who the person under center will be just yet. The person who starts at Quarterback should be the man who gives us the best chance to WIN. He's going to need a complete team effort , as the offense can't do it alone. The Defense needs to find a way to contain rookie Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphin offense. A lot of moving parts need to work to make this happen. Coach Gruden needs to have a better game plan and better execution then we have shown in the last few weeks. Good Morning Nation. No game to recap , but here are a couple of take aways from this Raider-less weekend. 1. The Broncos beat the Patriots with just field goals. The Pats definitely aren’t what they used to be . The Broncos might not be the pushovers we thought they were . 2. The Browns disappointed people who were actually hoping for a meaningful Steelers vs Browns game. 3. Tom Brady and the Bucs convincingly beat the Packers. Next week won’t be easy. 4. Romeo Crennel sho...uld have just kicked the extra point and won the game. 5. If the season continues like this , Trevor Lawrence is headed to the Jets. He could opt to play his senior season , but I have a feeling that in a year , the way that organization runs...he’d still be headed to the Jets. You got any observations for us ? Let us know ! Good Morning , I'm going to say Happy Monday. That's pretty much the best thing I can say today, after ANOTHER abysmal showing. The Raiders lost 44-27 at home to the Colts. Defensive Coordinator Paul Guenther was relieved of his duties after the third straight underwhelming effort. For some of the more outspoken members of our crew, it was a few weeks, ( or a season) too late. Our playoff hopes are not quite mathematically eliminated , but they didn't do themselves any fa...vors. I'm not going to run down the game notes, because Why do that to ourselves? Looking down the barrel of going through the motions of the last few weeks of the season, and another long off-season. We deserve better. Is it Carr's fault? Is it Grudens fault ? I know it's not our fault , We show up every week! Speaking of showing up,On behalf of Peter Dillon's and myself I want to send a heartfelt thanks to all who attended yesterday. Due to New York City restrictions, We may have possibly had our last gathering of the season. The next two weeks are primetime games, So we are doing remote watching. I sincerely hope this isn't our last gathering of the season. Let us all keep a good thought for both the playoffs and for New York City ! Happy Victory Monday ! Sorry it's a little later then usual, but as Mondays go, this has been one! Let's just get down to it, A win is a win. That's going to go down officially as a W for us, but that was as ugly a win as a team can get. Coming off of our most disappointing outing of the season, the Raiders came into MetLife to play the roadkill in green, the NY Jets. Coming into this game at 0-11, the Jets SHOULD have been easy pickings for us to get our groove back. De...fensively , we gave up a lot of yards and a lot more points then they deserved. Two touchdowns in the final quarter , put the Jets ahead late in the game. Winning the game on a last minute Hail Mary to Henry Ruggs III, who atoned for a costly fumble with that catch. That was Derek Carrs 3rd TD pass of the game , he also had a rushing TD . As much as his stats on paper look good , Carr had a few miss ques with his receivers ,and threw a few lame duck passes. If it wasn't for Darren Waller and his 200 yards receiving and 2 TDs, I'd be writing a different address. The running game suffered from Josh Jacobs absence. Totaling 73 total yards. It was not pretty. But, end of the day only one stat counts. We got the W and kept at least pace to still be in the hunt for a wildcard spot. That is going to be difficult to impossible to do if the team continues to play the way they did yesterday. How does a team trade punches with the Chiefs they way they did, and have two consecutive terrible games vs two consecutively terrible opponents? Do they play to the level of their competition ? I hope so, as they have a few more games that are now classified as MUST WINS! First up, the Colts. If we want to have any chance of going to the season beyond the season, They can't give up points the way they have the past few games. We had a small crowd on hand at Dillon's yesterday to enjoy a shared case of cardiac arrest amongst friends. Thank you to all who came out and went through that experience with us. So, it is Monday, and since this is late, I'm assuming you are all at work already. Well, go grab another cup of coffee from the break room, it's 11:00 am and you've put in a hard 2:00 hours ( give or take ) at the office. Maybe we keep the bragging to a minimum this week. The Ravens are FINALLY playing the Steelers today, almost a full week after it was originally scheduled. This has forced the NFL to amend NEXT weeks schedule. The Ravens organization had over 20 cases of COVID forcing these changes. Their game gets postponed a week . When the Raiders had players out on the Covid list, our game which could have been moved from Sunday Night to a Tuesday game, got pushed up to a Sunday afternoon game. The Broncos were forced to play with... a WR at QB. While other teams including the Raiders and the Saints, have been fined heavily , the Ravens have paid $0 in fines. I want to hear your opinions, Has the NFL's handling of the Ravens and the COVID situation in general , affected the integrity of the game ? Are the Ravens being shown preferential treatment, or does the NFL just not know how to have balance in their league ? C'mon, let's hear it ! See more

WAKE THE HELL UP NATION! You know what day it is ! I've got WAY too much coffee in me already and I'm cranking some music that my upstairs neighbors will not approve of. IT IS GAME DAY! The Raiders welcome their old friends the Kansas City Chiefs for their first visit to the desert! I am inclined to think that the Chiefs are going to be a little less then pleasant house guests. The last time these two met up, the Raiders shocked the world , handing the World Champs ...a loss. I'm pretty sure they are still pissed off about that. We're going to have to deal with that. Coach Gruden and company are going to have their hands full. That being said, We're not exactly a easy W on any teams schedule. The Raiders are playing quality football! Derek Carr is playing efficient , the Running game is grinding and the Defense is stepping up. The Chiefs may think they are coming into our house and telling us what's what, but that's not happening. It's a big divisional game and and NOTHING is guaranteed in this league! The Chiefs better pack a lunch, it's going to be a long night! Happy Victory Monday Nation! The Raiders convincingly dispatched the Broncos 37-12 at home yesterday to improve to 6-3 on the season. The Raiders dominated a clearly overmatched team on both sides of the ball. While the offense was clicking and very efficient, The Defense stepped up , Four interceptions , two sacks, a forced fumble and ONE yard allowed in the 3rd quarter. The defense had been criticized for playing out of position and for giving up the big play. Yesterd...ay they proved that they can play at that level. Nick Kwiatkoski lead the team with 8 tackles, 6 solo and a INT. Jeff Heath had two interceptions. Carl Nassib had the other interception. Offensively, Derek Carr went 16/25 for 154 yards. Josh Jacobs and Devontae Booker combined the rushing attack . Jacobs with 112 yards on 21 carries , Booker for 81 on 16. Not a bad day on the ground . Daniel Carlson was 3/3 on FG's with a long of 52. Overall good effort. A few mistakes that need to be cleaned up. A better team would have played a better game against us. No offense , but Drew Locke is not the best QB we are going to face this season. Looking at the rest of our schedule, It's not going to be easy, but I don't see ANY unwinnable games. ( I'm not saying we are going to run the table, I'm just saying it's going to be worth watching) A small, but vocal crowd gathered at Peter Dillon's to enjoy yesterdays festivities ! Happy Victory Monday Nation! The Raiders squeaked out a win in Los Angeles over the Chargers yesterday! They did not make it easy on us! I'm going to say it here, Justin Herbert is a talented QB and he's going to be a problem for us for a long time to come. The Raiders playing short handed , without a few key O-Linemen didn't play perfect football. They played good enough football. Good enough was enough last night , We'll take it. Derek Carr didn't have a excellent game, but... again we got the job done. The Defense played slightly out of position which allowed the Chargers too many opportunities. I'm going to say, that we got damn lucky! STILL COUNTS! 5-3 and 2nd in the West is a good place to be! Heading into another divisional game vs the Broncos this week, This was a important win! Another great "capacity" crowd at Dillon's yesterday! I would like to say thank you to all of our guests who have adapted to our augmented hours.
