Comp trails have new corduroy and trackset, and biathlon side is holding up well with just a tiny bit of glaze in the track (but still getting kick with my fish-scales at 7 AM). Still packed powder and 90% trackset, it will be better for classic. Avoid the Dogbone, the section of 3 Trails by junction #5, and the end of Perimeter (take Wabbit Way instead). Brookside hill is in good shape, but Pumphouse Road is also an option (as is the Bridge with Flags). Double tubes are pack...ed and tracked. Skating will be best on the Competition Trails and the XC flats. 29 km open currently with packed powder (natural)/frozen granular (manmade) conditions. Another dusting of snow overnight groomed in to improve conditions. Competition trails have been Pisten Bullied, where an additional 1 km has been added (stay left at the top of the headwall and go UPHILL). We've also added some trackset with the Ginzu on natural snow on the flats: variable depth and some dirt on the XC side, mostly full-depth on the biathlon side flats. ACCESS TO THE BIATHLON SIDE IS CURRENTLY LIMITED TO BRIDGE WITH FLAGS ONLY. Stay to right as this is two-way traffic. Skating will be best on the PB'ed terrain and the XC flats. 14 km open currently with packed powder conditions.

We are hosting the Harry Eldridge Memorial Skate Race today. Competition trails will be CLOSED this morning from 9 til noon. About 7 km of packed powder is available on the older trail network on the XC side. Competition trails when opened around mid-day will likely have no trackset. Skating on the old flats should be pretty nice while you're waiting for the comp trails to open! Please heed to trail markings/signs as some loops on the competition trails will be skied in the...
