EAA Member Spotlight is proud to feature Smiling Moon Alpacas. Smiling Moon Alpacas was started in 2009 from a love of alpacas, with two huacaya fiber geldings.... It wasn’t long before we knew that more alpacas needed to come and live on the Farm. We are a small family-run farm, on 33 acres in the hills of rural Allegany County in Friendship, New York. Our first ventures into showing resulted in a 2nd place at the Northeast Alpaca Expo in the Spring of 2010 with a grey juvenile and again in 2011 with a 2nd of 12 for a brown juvenile. We were hooked and our ventures into the show ring have continued with multiple home-bred ribbon winners since. We are constantly trying to improve our herd, and we are seeing the results of our efforts! Smiling Moon Alpacas is a family venture, with everyone pitching in where needed. We have a small store called Smiling Moon Everything Alpaca, that is located on the farm and we attend several markets and events throughout the year. Visitors are always welcome! Just call to make arrangement.

Welcome 2021!!!! With the new year we have some new beginnings. As many of you already know, Dr. Simons has passed on the torch of practice ownership to Dr. Bur...ch effective January 1, 2021. While Dr. Simons has technically "retired," he will certainly still be around. Dr. Burch has been with the practice for 5 years and has already met and established a great relationship with many of you. She is very excited to continue to work with and build those relationships with the rest of you! Although our practice name and ownership is changing, the same friendly and caring staff will be here to serve you! We would like to take the time to thank Dr. Simons for his 48 years of service to Cuba and the surrounding area. We wish him the best in his much DESERVED retirement!
