Happy Healing Monday! A case with a large periapical radiolucency and the 1 year follow up.

We always like a feel good case. Especially one in which there was no need for us to intervene. 10 year old female with a history of facial trauma and root fracture. At the time of examination it was determined not to initiate treatment and to leave the roots alone. The 1 year follow up shows that was a good decision. The first two radiographs are at the time of initial examination. The third is about 4 months later and the final is 1 year 3 months after the trauma. Both teeth respond normally to vitality testing and percussion. There is slight scar formation on #9 but this may close over time as well.

Our story and practice history started in the late 70's when Dr. Stuart Berman founded the practice on Maple Ave. Dr. Berman then transitioned the practice to Dr. Mark Karpman who then moved the practice to 285 East Main St. in the late 90's. Dr. Karpman then transitioned the practice to Dr. DiBernardo and Dr. Toskos in 2009. Now we write the next chapter and are moving the office to 79 Landing Ave. We will be open and able to accommodate emergencies during this brief move. The office will be fully operational on Monday. Thank you for your support.

Happy Thanksgiving from our office. We will be closed on Thanksgiving proper, and open for emergencies on black Friday. Normal hours resume on Saturday for Smithtown and Monday for the Jericho office. If you need coverage over the holiday weekend please give us a call. Give thanks for the blessed day.
