We were so delighted to receive this Google Review! Thank you, MaryAnn. We are so glad we were able to help you. MaryAnn Review: Dear Sobo & Sobo, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to you for making the decision to take my case. When I received your message that you would, indeed, take my case I felt relieved, as you are known as one of the top lawyers in this field of law. From day one, our very first face to face meeting, I knew that we had a ch...ance at winning this thing, and fortunately for myself, this proved to be true. I realize that this was not the easiest case to win, and that you were required to spend long hours researching and putting your presentation together. It is for this that I thank you. I would also like to thank the entire staff who worked endless hours to help the attorneys make this happen. . . . . #InjuryAttorney #PersonalInjuryLawyer #PersonalInjuryAttorney #ClientReview #ClientTestimonial See more

It is the quality of one’s convictions that determines success, not the number of followers. - Remus Lupin Kara says, It feels so good when someone actually notices the passion and effort you put into your work. My client surprised me with this last week, and I don’t think I could have ever been more appreciative of such a perfect gift. Aside from being a huge Harry Potter fan, the quote hits home.... For the rest of us at Sobo & Sobo, the quote hits home for us too. #HarryPotter #PersonalInjuryAttorney #PersonalInjuryLawyer #TellUsYourStory

Two years ago, a trucking accident changed my life forever, said Jonah, a commercial truck driver in the Orange County region of New York. The repeated stress from transporting heavy stuff for years was already taking a toll on my back. The traffic accident was just the tipping point for things to go from bad, to much worse. The trucking accident left Jonah with severe nerve damage, causing the left side of his body to lose sensation. This rendered him unable to perform h...is job, and without a source of income to support his wife and kids. A friend of mine in the industry told me how Sobo & Sobo helped him get workers’ compensation for similar injuries, and he wouldn’t stop going on about how great his legal team was, so I decided to give them a shot, said Jonah. Jonah ended up filing a workers’ compensation claim to make up for his lost wages, as well as a personal injury claim to help cover his recovery costs. Immediately, I know they saw how desperate I was, and made it clear that they were going to help me squeeze every last penny for my injuries, which is exactly what they did, said Jonah. I can’t recommend Sobo & Sobo enough. It’s obvious from the first conversation that they’re willing to do anything it takes to improve the lives of their clients. This is a true story. We’ve changed the name and photograph of our client to protect his privacy.

Dear Erin, Thank you for your note. It must be a challenging experience to have your first semester during the season of Covid19. We knew we had a winner when you connected not only distracted driving to personal injury, but pedestrians with cell phones being equally as responsible for personal injuries in your essay. Great point.... We appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge our contribution to your education. Your note goes to show what truly great values you possess. We know you’ll do well and appreciate that we can play a part to help you achieve your goals. To your success! Sobo & Sobo

Monsanto, Roundup & Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma A divide in the scientific community over the potential health risks of Monsanto’s Roundup products has created a complicated situation for both consumers and cancer victims from New York to Los Angeles. In fact, the disagreement among health agencies has created an unlikely situation: people can easily buy a product not determined to be cancer-causing by the U.S. but are successfully suing after using it. The best day of my life was when my boyfriend of three years woke up from a six-month coma, said Susanna. I didn’t have to say goodbye. I didn’t have to stop loving him. We can still grow old together. Nothing will ever compare to that day. The second-best day of my life, said Susanna, Was the day that Sobo & Sobo helped us get justice for the (expletive) that put him in a coma all those months ago. Without getting into it, he was a drunk driver that almost erased my b...oyfriend from the earth. Let me tell youkeeping someone alive while they’re in a coma is not cheap. Now, he’s making up for it by paying for ALL my boyfriend’s time spent in the hospitalas well as for my own emotional pain and suffering. The couple are happier than ever, and Susanna’s boyfriend is expected to make a full recovery. They plan to use the extra settlement funds to take a long vacation, and for the first time in a while, according to Susanna, Look towards the future with happiness and confidence. Today is National Paralegal Day. Is there any wonder why the profession has a day dedicated to its members? Our paralegals do so much. The foundation of Sobo & Sobo runs through them. By design, our paralegals are given a great deal of authority when working with our clients, on cases, and at closings. It is often the attorneys who get the credit for our many victories, but we promise you behind each triumph is our paralegals’ work that built the foundation for the win. Before any attorney steps into Court, a hearing, or a closing, so often the day is already won thanks to the great work of our paralegals. We wish there were enough time in the video to single-out every single paralegal in every department. Thank you to all the paralegals at Sobo & Sobo, you are true superheroes. -Greg Sobo

I had no idea what a paralegal did until I hired Sobo & Sobo, said Danielle, who recently picked up a settlement following a successful medical malpractice case. My attorney was exceptional in fighting for my case, said Danielle, But it was my paralegal that kept me constantly updated, returned every call without fail, and even checked in regularly just to see how I was feeling. You don’t know you’ll need this kind of help when you first file a lawsuit, but the help from... my paralegal proved to be invaluable. At my college graduation ceremony, our baccalaureate speaker told us The Tale of the Starfish. It was the first time I had ever heard it, and it has stayed with me ever since. For those of you unfamiliar with the story, it goes like this: A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. If left on the beach, they were certain to die. She began walking the beach and, one by one, she would pick up a starfish, a...nd throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement. She had been doing this for some time when an older man approached her and said, ‘Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. The girl seemed discouraged and suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, ‘it made a difference to that one.’ There is only so much anyone can do to make a positive difference in the world. Some days it all seems futile. But our limitations should not discourage us from the positive impact we can make. What we do everyday matters, particularly to those clients and fellow team members that we help. Both in and out of our work lives, we do our best to increase the happiness of others and make the world a better place. Because to the people we can help, it makes all the difference in the world.

I told the doctor I didn’t want a c-section, said Mary. So imagine my surprise when I suddenly woke up from sedation (again, something I didn’t ask for) to find a big scar across my tummy, and a baby I didn’t see or feel come out of me. Mary had told the hospital staff that she didn’t want painkillers, sedation or a c-section (unless it was absolutely necessary for survival) during her delivery. Due to a miscommunication between staff, none of these wishes reached the ear...s of the delivering doctor. When the procedure was explained to Mary, it was also revealed that none of the actions they took were medically necessary, but instead performed purely for convenience. The doctors are lucky all I did was sue them. And they’re lucky my baby is so dang perfect. Otherwise, I’d have burned the place down. And I consider myself lucky to find a lawyer at Sobo & Sobo who was almost as livid and eager to hold those guys accountable as I was. And we didbig time. Thanks to them, now I have a babyand my baby’s got a college fund. This is a true story. We’ve changed the name and photograph of our client to protect her privacy.

This Columbus Day, let’s acknowledge the real reason why Columbus bumped into America. He was simply looking for a cheaper source of cinnamon, cloves and pepper. These spices were imported to Europe via Arab caravans from North Africa. The caravans stopped in Venice, where the spice merchants became fabulously wealthy by selling aromatic substances at exorbitant prices. Columbus decided to find a cheaper route to East Indies, with the goal of cutting out the middle man and go...ing straight to the source. When he arrived on the shores of the Bahamas, he pulled the peppercorns he brought along from his pocket. "Got these?" Columbus inquired. "No," they answered, "but we have nutmeg, allspice, potatoes, bell peppers, chili peppers--and the granddaddy of fruits: the tomato." Five hundred years later, stews, curries, breads and cookies are spicier and more flavorful, thanks to this Italian explorer. Think of Christopher Columbus the next time you pepper your food, eat a pizza, drink a Bloody Mary or eat a French fry.
