As cases have begun to mount in and surrounding towns, we have grappled with how to follow the CDC guidelines and recommendations, while also continuing to serve our patients. Nobody on our staff nor patients that we are aware of have had any symptoms of disease. Dentistry creates many aerosol "plumes," particularly hygi...ene instruments and dental handpieces. Even following the best ADA and other guidelines for this virus, there is still risk. We do not feel that we, in good conscience, can ask our staff or patients to be present in the office when so many people may be contagious but asymptomatic. As such, we have decided on the following- 1) We will be closed for 2 weeks starting 3/17/20 at a minimum 2) The phones will be answered at the office beginning at 9am 3) Dr. Kim & Dr. Levine will be available for any emergency treatment that cannot wait. 4) We have been part of establishing a local network of specialists and general practitioners for emergencies as they arise to limit exposure of people to one another. 5) We appreciate everyone's patience and also hope and pray that this pandemic run its course as painlessly as possible.
