**Courtesy Post** This sweet little girl was left behind when her owners moved to a new home and could not take her with them. Kind people have taken her in to care for her until she can find a new home, but they cannot keep her. She has not been vaccinated or spayed. They have been calling her String Bean. She’s about 1 year old, very friendly and good with other cats. She could also be acclimated to live with a dog. She’s smaller in size and has medium length hair. They say she is young and full of confidence. **If you are interested in giving this loving girl a new home, where she won’t ever be left behind again, please contact Clairisse at (585)610-6889**
We will be using this album to stay current on any available cats/kittens we have in the shelter. Over the next few days we will be uploading everyone we have at this time. If you have any questions about an animal you may be interested in, please feel free to message us, give us a call at (716)372-8492 or stop down and visit.
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who voted on our SPCA's video back in November/December for the Siemens Energy Video Contest! The SPCA has been selected to receive a $1000 donation!! A shout out to Evan Weaver for filming the video clips and Drew Sneddon for editing, narrating, and producing the final video. Thanks again to all of our wonderful supporters! <3
What’s better to bring in the new year than with a kitten like Noel? We can’t think of much. Happy wonderful adoption day to this sweet baby and her adopters.
UPDATE - I'm back home! Thanks to all for sharing! :) HELP!!! I got lost last night running around the Olean Police Station. If anyone knows me or my owners let us and them know so I can come home! Thank you.
Hey! I’m Martin! I am a 2 year old male. I’m the most loving boy and I’m really hoping that my stay here at the shelter won’t be a long one. I’m quite playful, but really, I just want somebody to fall in love with me to get me out of here. I demand my cuddles when I see you. My friends take great care of me and I meet lots of people but I just need something to fill this empty hole in my heart, a home and a friend. Come down and hangout with me, get to know me and see if I may be the purrrrfect fit for you!
It looks like our boy Kree is getting settled into his new home nicely. Thanks to his wonderful adopter for sending us this picture of him giving her some lovins and nighttime cuddles. We couldn’t be happier with this fit
Storm is a very friendly long haired kitty who is about 2 years old. You’ll find that Storm is a beautifully colored, playful and curious cat. He unfortunately is not good with many other cats as he came back to the SPCA after having some difficulty living with a few others. Originally, he came to us in April of 2020, in very poor condition as a stray, but he’s back up to proper health and better than ever. He’s not very treat motivated, but loves his catnip. If you are interested in Storm, please set up a meet and greet with him or fill out one of our applications to take him home!
Hey everyone!! Our names are Dunkin and Donut. We’ve been at the shelter for a little over 2 months now. Our human grew old and could no longer care for us, so we found our way here to our loving friends who are trying so hard to get us adopted. We were very hopeful that we wouldn’t be here long, but the days grow longer as we wait for somebody to take us both to our forever home. We prefer that these beauties can go home together as they have become a bonded pair through th...eir years together. When they first came to the shelter, they did not do well when they were separated and have since regained more of their normal personalities while being together again. If you are interested in giving these sweet babies a new home, please visit us during our open hours, meet with them & give them both a chance to steal your heart (and hopefully your home). See more
It was quite the day for adoptions and we don’t think it could’ve been a better one! Congratulations on your new homes Brinell, Ripley & Carlos. Carlos and Ripley came to us from a high risk situation down south, where they were fortunate to find their people instantly, talk about love at first sight.
Calling all animals lovers and dog walkers We are looking for some dedicated volunteers to help us with dog walking Monday-Friday with time slots from 11am-1pm and 3-5pm. Anybody who is interested in volunteering should come in during open hours to fill out our volunteer paperwork or call us at (716)372-8492 to get things started. Some things you should be aware of are: You should be comfortable working with/walking dogs that need some training and attention.... Some dogs may need a little time to be acclimated to you before going on walks or to the play yard, this will help with their socialization skills immensely. We need people who are comfortable walking bigger dogs who can be stronger on the leash or have high energy levels. People who will be dedicated to taking time to simply play with the dogs and love on them. You must be at least 17 years of age. We thank you in advance and hope to hear from you soon!
Happy adoption day to our friends Goblin and Duke!! We are so thrilled you two have found the perfect partners to give you a loving, warm home for the new year! We wish you guys the best of luck, from all us here at the shelter.
