SFD responded into the Gates Fire District just after 18:00hrs for the 4th alarm fire. Additional crews are currently manning the stations.

*IMPORTANT MESSAGE * After a recent tragedy in the local community, we are asking you to check your Smoke and CO detectors for a recalled model. The combination detectors are Kidde brand model # KN-COSM-IB which had been recalled in 2016. Upon investigation it was found that although the detector had a green LED lit, this only indicated that it had AC power. Upon depressing the test button, it was found that the detector failed to test and had never alerted. The manufacture dates on the detectors were 5/18/2008 and 4/7/2008. Please check your detectors!
