Starr Clark Tin Shop & Underground Rail Road 30.01.2021

The museum is closed for the season but work continues. New display are being set up, new acquisitions are being accessioned and plans are being made for the Historical Society's 2021 programs and activities. Work is also continuing on the Chandler & Ames Bank building. Over the winter we hope to have the interior patched, painted and preened. Electrical service has been installed, heating is in the works and front window is being built and will be installed in the spring. Stay tuned for updates. The Mexico Historical Society was please to be able to host a tour of the Starr Clark Tin Shop and Underground Railroad Museum for a local Drop-In group. Lots of people from around the world have shown an interest in our one of a kind historical museum. So far this year, in addition to the more local visitors from Syracuse, Kirkville, Lyons, etc., people have traveled from as far as New Mexico, Florida, and Switzerland to visit our little museum!
