The #StatenIslandFerry will be operating on a holiday schedule on Thursday, 11/26 for #Thanksgiving. #SIFerry service will be provided every 30 minutes throughout the day, with the regular schedule resuming at midnight.

UPDATE: The terminal restrooms will be open 5AM-10PM this week and will be opened 5AM to 1AM beginning 11/30. Beginning today, #StatenIslandFerry terminal restrooms will be open daily from 5AM to 1AM. Restrooms (heads) remain closed on all #SIFerry boats.

On October 29, 2012 Hurricane Sandy’s storm surge hit NYC. While evacuation orders were issued for 375,000+ New Yorkers, 90 Staten Island Ferry crew members reported for duty and rode out the storm. Thanks to their skill and bravery, all of the fleet was kept out of harm’s way.

The Staten Island Ferry will operate on a holiday schedule on Monday, September 7, 2020 for Labor Day. Service will be provided every 30 minutes from 7AM-11PM. Hourly service at all other times. Regular schedule resumes at midnight.

Due to NYC DEP work, the water supply at St George Terminal will be turned off starting around 5PM today, September 1. As a result, the St George Terminal restrooms will be closed to the public during this outage. As a reminder, the bathrooms on the ferries are closed. Please use the restroom in Whitehall or at your starting location.

Due to reduced visibility, #StatenIslandFerry passengers are advised to allow for extra travel time this morning.

Update: Due to increased visibility and calmer winds, the #StatenIslandFerry resumed half hour service as of 3PM today 8/4. The Ferry will run every half hour through 11PM at St George and 11:30PM at Whitehall, at which point hourly overnight service will resume.
