The Stillwater Historical Society Invites you to join us at three upcoming events! 242nd Anniversary History Walk: Battle of Freeman's Farm Stillwater Historical Society’s regular meeting will be canceled for Sept. 19th and all members are encouraged to attend the Anniversary History Walk: Battle of Freeman’s Farm on that same date. This will be the 242nd Anniversary of the First Battle of Saratoga. Please join our members at the Freeman’s Farm site at 12:00 PM to hear th...e detailed description of the Battle from the Park Ranger. This 1st Battle resulted in estimated casualties from 1 source as follows: Americans 63 Killed, 212 Wounded & 38 Prisoners, British - 160 Killed, 364 Wounded, & 43 Prisoners, By attending this Anniversary of the Battle, We will be remembering and honoring all those who fought & died to earn the freedom we enjoy today. SARATOGA NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK Date: Thursday, September 19, 2019 Time: 12:00 PM Duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes Anniversary History Walk: Battle of Bemus Heights On Oct 7th please join us for the Anniversary History Wall: Battle of Bemus Heights. The time will be from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm to hear the detailed description of the Battle from the Park Ranger. This 2nd battle resulted in estimated casualties from 1 source as follows: Americans 30 Killed, 100 Wounded and 0 Prisoners, - British 184 Killed, 264 Wounded & 183 Prisoners.
