Happy New Year as the church begins the new liturgical calendar, with emphasis to the Gospel of Mark. Thematically this first, of four, Sundays and is focused to hope as we "put on the armor of light!"... Face masks and appropriate physical distancing for indoor seating remains in place for everyone's safety!

This is the last Sunday in "ordinary time" on the church's calendar, with Advent, the New Year, starting next Sunday. Yes, its' true, Thanksgiving, to Advent, to Christmas -- already!... Thanksgiving! Working with community members, Tara and John Flagler; and Vinny Tamagna our Rector’s Warden; and other local businesses, we’ll be hosting the Thanksgiving Dinner this year on Thursday, November 26th, from 10 am to 2 pm, which will be take-out and delivery only. If you can volunteer to help, please email us at [email protected] or you can call Tara at (845) 337-0236. We’re looking for volunteers to: (1) cleanout the parish hall; (2) help with setup ...and takedown; and (3) help with distribution (serving and packing) for pick-up and delivery. UPDATE: The generosity is overwhelming, we have all the food donated! We can always use cash contributions to purchase the general supplies and take-out containers. In closing, let us be mindful of each other as we transition to a new administration, and think about how we might reconcile with our neighbors so we can reach common understanding that we are all children of God, born in God’s image and enduring love; and with that recognition help and uplift each other to grow in wisdom and love.
