SUGAR HOUSE CREAMERY FARM STORE Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday from 10-6 Our farm store is a simple way for you to purchase food that is produced by our neighbors, minimally handled, and good for you. We are not a one-stop shop but we do have some major staples. We stock milk, cheese, meat, yogurt, eggs, vegetables, maple syrup, fresh greens, vegetables, and baked goods all from local producers. As cheesemakers we have always taken sanitation very seriously we are now focusing ...on how to ensure a safe shopping environment for both customers and our employees. We will take the following precautions: We will limit the need to touch any non-essential surfaces (ex. door will remain open when possible). Our staff will maintain a strict schedule of cleaning all contact surfaces throughout business hours (ex. refrigerator handles, checkout area will be disinfected hourly). We will also limit the number of customers who can occupy the store at the same time, and ask that CDC recommended social distancing protocols be respected. In hope & health, Sugar House Creamery

Follow this link for further details and to place your orders for this Sunday : https://www.sugarhousecreamery.com/snowygrocery... The Snowy Grocery is a collaborative effort between Wild Work Farm, Sugar House Creamery & Mace Chasm Farm to get really good, locally produced food into the kitchens of our community all winter long!
For anyone who missed last night's "Antiracism 101: Checklist for white allies & activists" led by Nicole Hylton-Patterson of Adirondack Diversity Initiative here's the link! This is part of an ongoing series. This is extremely important work. Let us all engage, grow, unlearn, and learn together!
TODAY . UPPER JAY .
I grew up on a dairy farm in upstate NY, attended a private liberal arts college in upstate NY, and alongside my partner started a farm business & family in upstate NY. Read: I have lived almost the entirety of my life in rural, white racialized space. The election of 45 and the birth of my child brought me face to face with my own complicity in upholding white supremacy. I’m ignorant AF and the amount of unlearning I have to do is exhausting and my ego is fragile and I am a...fraid of getting things wrong, of getting called out. It tells me I don’t know where to start or how or that I can’t make a difference, but that’s just bullshit. You just have to start. Start from within. The unlearning. The listening. The showing up. The tough conversations with other white people. Committing to the work of it, because in order to ignore it we must make ourselves numb. Numb to the pain and oppression of others. Numb to our own pain. Numb in our relationships. This same numbness is what allows a white police officer to kneel on the neck of a black man and listen to him plead for his life for 8 full minutes until his life is gone. Forever. The urban rural divide is deepening, and this pandemic is showing that even more starkly than before. Rural white folk need to speak up and be bravenot allow rural spaces to be safe havens for white supremacy to flourish within our communities. #blacklivesmatter #georgefloyd
