SUNY Cobleskill was just awarded the VA Adaptive Sports Grant, which has funded our winter Veterans' Program this year. Any veteran can participate, free of cha...rge thanks to this grant. This program will run December - January and lessons will be held once a week on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Listen to some of our participants' and staff's stories about their experiences with this program and check out https://www.cobleskill.edu///therapeutic-horsemanship.aspx for more information. Coach DiGioia and her ANSC 283 Western Riding class are perfecting their patterns in the outdoor ring. Shortsleeve shirts, 75, sun and sand. These are a few of our favorite things! #onecoby #cobleskillequestrian #sunycobleskill #cobylove #cobystrong #rideihsa #westernequitation

Carolyn Nelson graduated in 2020 with a BT in Therapeutic Horsemanship. She helped initiate and now is the Veteran Program Coordinator for the SUNY Cobleskill Veterans program. Carolyn is a Veteran and served 20 years in the Marines. Carolyn is currently at BraveHearts getting ready to ride 20 miles with Trail to Zero. She was selected to ride with the 20 Veterans to bring awareness to the 20 Veterans we lose per day to suicide. Follow her ride: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/virtual-ride-along-with-trail- She looks pretty happy with her partner, Winston! Have a great ride Carolyn! We are proud of you!!
