Today the college received a report confirming that an employee has tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first confirmed case among SUNY Oneonta employees this semester. Read more:
Off-campus screening results the college received yesterday confirm four more cases of COVID-19 among students. Three are newly confirmed cases. One is a case confirmed at least 10 days ago. SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras has issued an emergency directive aimed at ensuring the safety of colleges across SUNY. The directive, which went into effect today, implements a COVID-19 sanctioning policy to help SUNY balance the need to protect public health of students, faculty, staff and community members, with students’ rights to remain within the educational environment.
