Just in time to add the department to your end of year giving - our annual newsletter is out. It features a few "where are they now" from our alumni, as well as student awards, and activities by the Environmental Studies Faculty. Check it out at the website. You can give to our department directly by going to the Give Now page at SUNY Potsdam (https://www.givecampus.com/campaigns/6110/donations/new) and under Designation Choose "Other" and type Environmental Studies Department. $20 covers all the refreshments at the Senior Colloquium, or $30 covers gifts for graduating seniors, $50 would cover a field trip to the Adirondacks for the day. Any amount helps. We're so grateful for our students and our alumni in 2020. Stay safe. https://www.potsdam.edu//inline/ES%20Newsletter%202020.pdf

Samuel Ernst, Lucas Hanns, Hunter Boyea, Charles Martin, and Abigail Shampine. We’re so proud of the work you did!!
Many Environmental Studies majors also completed a minor in Wilderness Education. The program is trying to raise money to fund scholarships to increase inclusivity. If you’re interested in supporting increasing access to groups that learn about and use the outdoors, please consider donating. Any amount is helpful to reach the $5,000 goal in a few weeks. https://www.givecampus.com//wilderness-education-access-/

Part of our Adirondack Experience program takes first year students into the Adirondacks on Friday field trips and labs. Recently, they got to track endangered spruce grouse with Dr. Angie Ross and check out Spring Pond Bog with Drs. Kate Cleary and Glenn Johnson. Hands on learning is a huge part of the Environmental Studies Major! Check us out. #potsdamproud SUNY-Potsdam #appliedlearning
One of the greatest accounts on Instagram is the intersectional environmentalist (https://instagram.com/intersectionalenvironmentalist). They posted about an amazing event to get outside now. Check it out. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CFf5cxEnIkq/
