Current student Esther Xu is showing new work in the World Trade Center this weekend. "The Asian Cultural Center and The Port Authority of NY & NJ present the Blanc Art Show. Come enjoy a free, three-day exhibition dedicated to providing over 40 young artists a platform for expression in The World Trade Center Oculus. The show aims to enrich the diversity of urban art through the concept of 'Blanc," an open-minded narrative that overwrites any inherent definitions. Each unique work, from painting, to photography, to sculpture, attempts to transcend cultural boundaries."
Sidequest Gallery is proud to present 'Triangles And The Shapes In Between', a new body of work by Scarlett Lingwood (MFA 2016). This is a one night only event so don't miss it!

This Saturday, in conjunction with the MFA Brown Art summer residency, funded by the School of Visual Arts, we are pleased to invite you to Pieza an initiative hosted by Daniel Almeida and Maximilian JuliĆ” on Governors Island, Colonels Row, House #405B. Pieza aka everything is on the table you gotta learn how to play the game A group of Latino artists, curators, musicians, and writers convene for an afternoon of leisure, where domino is a vehicle for informal panel discussio...ns and building community. Domino, a game played in plazas and backyards is an arena that reclaims public spaces through conversations that translate into social exchanges. As most domino matches, Pieza is an excuse to gather around a table to connect and learn from each other. The project extends its life through the documentation of the event via diagrams, writings, and drawings that honor shared leisure as a formative event, where different ideas and paths of life coexist and inform each other.
