This is a sneak peak at our new dance floor at Yesterday’s Royal (formerly the Hotel Royal) in Sylvan Beach NY. Phase 1; A total restoration of the exterior, la...rge outdoor raparound dining porch and much of the interior as part of a year long restoration of this historic landmark. We will continue our efforts as time and resources allow of Abby’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant,The Ice House Cafe an antique ice cream parlor with a casual dining menu. and The Brass Tap Tavern our live entertainment venue (featuring 100 nights of live entertainment and dancing between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day). Phase 2; will be a full restoration of the turn of the century lodging portion into a boutique hotel featuring 20-30 rooms, efficiencies and cottage units. No timeline for phase 2 has been set at this time. See more

It is with great sadness we announce that Historic Sylvan Beach Amusement Park will not be open for the summer of 2020 do to Covid 19 conditions and restrictions. Up and until this week we had hoped to open for the 4th of July and we had serviced and assembled many of the rides, buildings and other equipment but as time went on it became abundantly clear that we weren't able to confirm when or if we could open and to what level of operation. With no guidance from NY...S, regional or local authorities we had to make a tough call. Staffing was also a bit of an issue as unemployment benefits were so generous and people were resistant to leave that program and return to the workforce. We also saw the real possibility that our attendance might be severely impacted because of health safety concerns. While we are devastated at this loss we remain determined to be here in future years and will continue with capital improvement projects to the facilities and equipment throughout the summer and into the off season in an effort to return stronger and better for 2021. Historic Sylvan Beach Amusement Park as well as our sister parks are cautiously working on an opening plan for early July. We are obviously monitoring the Covid 19 situation closely in our business evaluation and in consideration of the NY State reopening guidelines as well as the business feasibility of operating on a shorter season under challenging guidelines that may inhibit our operations significantly or make it necessary to stabilize the site and work toward a spring of 2021 reopening. We will be making a final decision by the end of May or first of June. Thank you for your patience and support.

We open this Friday May 24th for Memorial Weekend through Monday for the 2019 season! Come join the fun!! We are open F,S,S till late June when school lets out for the summer then Wednesday through Sundays and holiday Mondays through out the summer till Labor day . We are so sorry to say that Halloweekends at the Beach will not open this year.

Its so sad- Our regular season is over but we will be back next summer! OH YEAH- and in October for HALLOWEEKENDS AT THE BEACH!

The tours continued last night with some personal experiences reported. Also, someone was playing with a fellow CasperCop’s hat. It kind of looked like my Caspe...rCop hat.
