We are excited to share that on August 22, 2020, 257 first-year students from China were welcomed into the CIEE program ‘Syracuse in Shanghai’. These students were provided with the opportunity to study at East China Normal University (ECNU) due to ongoing travel restrictions throughout China and the US. Through this program, students in Shanghai will experience all that Syracuse University has to offer organized events and activities, student support and resources, and a h...ybrid class model. The first week of the Syracuse in Shanghai program was successfully completed with all students arriving to the ECNU campus for class registration and orientation. Orientation started with a welcome message from the Syracuse University Chancellor, Dr. Kent Syverud, Dr. Steve Chao, Director of CIEE Shanghai, gave a welcome speech to all students and introduced the Shanghai staff team.
