Col Thomas Carello has led the New York Wing for over 4 years and his term will end 23 Jan 2021. During his term he has been an outstanding leader and mentor. ...Under his leadership, the New York Wing has grown and has been a credit to Civil Air Patrol and the members of New York Wing. It is Col Jack Ozer, Northeast Region Commander, pleasure to announce Lt Col John Jones has been selected to become the new wing commander for the New York Wing. The Change of Command will take place on 23 January 2021, time and place to be announced. Col Ozer and all the Northeast Region Command Staff wish Col Carello and Lt Col Jones best wishes and good luck in their new adventure.

Legendary Brigadier General Chuck Yeager has passed at the age of 97.

Seventy nine years ago... a date which will live in infamy. Over 2,400 service members were killed, 1,100 wounded, eight battleships and 169 planes were damag...ed or destroyed during the attack on Pearl Harbor. While it was a great, and tragic, loss for our nation - it was also the first step we needed on the long road to Victory! Let us all remember the courage and sacrifices that were on display that day. The Syracuse Cadet Squadron will cease all in-person activities at this time and reevaluate again on 1 Apr. The NY Wing is also currently grounded. We will meet via electronic means on 18 Mar and 25 Mar. Watch here and in emails on how we will accomplish this. Meeting electronically will still count for attendance purposes.
