The ASHA of NY mourns the loss of Naomi Blumenthal. Naomi was the manager of the Syracuse International Horse Show for many years, and the manager of many other horse shows, including the New York State Horse Breeders Association and New York State Fair shows. Please join us in sending prayers of comfort for her family and friends.

Syracuse International is thankful for our faithful and supportive exhibitors that come every year!! Today and everyday please know we appreciate you! June 23-26, 2021!! Hope to see you there...stay safe!

I would also like to take this time to update you on the 2021 Syracuse International. Our 2021 dates are June 23 - 26. Please know we have secured the dates with USEF and the fairgrounds but depending on the status of COVID will be determined closer to spring. In the event we are a go.......we have secured ALL of our officials from 2020. Our judges will remain Lewis Eckard (Saddlebreds, Saddleseat Equitatin, Hackney, Roadster, Miscellaneous) and Tom Bombolis (Morgan, Morgan Equitation, Dutch Harness, Opportunity, Miscellaneous) Liz Holmes is Show Manager and Show Secretary Linda Burke. Since the 2020 PrizeList was already printed at the time of cancellation of the show, WE WILL BE USING THE SAME TIME SCHEDULE, SAME CLASS LIST and SAME PRIZELIST.....only the dates will be changed. PLEASE stay safe!!

Today should have been the first day of the Syracuse International Horse Show. Instead, we are on pause due to COVID-19. While today is a sad day for the ASHA of New York, and the horse show organizers and staff, we want you all to know we are looking forward to being back in 2021, stronger and better than ever. Stay safe!

We will never forget.......

Trainers and Exhibitors, Today, we received the news we were anticipating but hoping we would not receive. First, the Governor announced there will not be a NY State Fair held in 2020 unless the entire State and northeast region is completely open. Thereafter, our show manager, Liz Holmes, spoke with the Fairgrounds and based upon the input she received, the Board of Directors of the ASHA of New York has no alternative but to cancel the Syracuse International Horse Show sch...eduled for June 24-27, 2020. We recognize this is an enormous disappointment for our equine community and rest assured, we are already working on plans for 2021. Tentative show dates, subject to USEF and ASHA approval, are Wednesday, June 23-Saturday, June 26. We are the most hospitable horse show in the Northeast and we will continue to work hard to make the 2021 Syracuse International Horse Show exceed your expectations.
