The Syracuse Mets want to recognize a huge loss to our local baseball/softball community. Danny Cavallo Jr. leaves a legacy of playing, coaching, teaching and growing our game in CNY. A long time coach and administrator of District 8 Little League and coach of Bishop Grimes Softball. Danny was truly a baseball lifer and will be celebrated and missed by all.

We are constantly amazed that there is always a connection to the history of Syracuse baseball and the World Series. The Dodgers feature Blake Treinan (2014-2015) and Joc Pederson, the son of all-time great Chief Stu Pederson (1988-1992), while the Rays counter that with Manager Kevin Cash (2002-2003) and Hitting Coach/Syracuse Baseball Wall of Fame member Chad Mottola (2000, 2002, 2005-2007). Our own Jason Smorol and Scooch will be at the Big Red Chair at noon! The drive through event is taking place in the Destiny USA Solar Street Parking Lot (across from Embassy Suites by Hilton Syracuse Destiny USA). Lots of displays, fun activities and a parade of cars driving through in support of finding a cure. We drive for all our fans whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. Who do you drive for?

Last year our Twin Trees Too Most Popular Player was Danny Espinosa, this year our good friends at Twin Trees have chosen none other than Jason Smorol as MPP! Twin Trees and the patriarch, Don Ross started sponsoring the Syracuse Chiefs back in the 60's and 70's.
