This special installment of Poetry & Play speaks directly to our current production TWILIGHT: LOS ANGELES, 1992. Enjoy Dr. Juhanna Rogers reading "4/30/92 for rodney king" by Lucille Clifton. But the poem’s piercing rhetorical questions should not be read simply as hopelessness; they are plaintive cries for justice. In its crystalline brevity, Clifton’s prophetic p...oem matches the pertinence of TWLIGHT: LOS ANGELES, 1992. Both speak powerfully to our now. TWILIGHT is available to stream through Feb. 14: https://syracusestage.org/showinfo.php?id=102

"It is surprisingly vital and vivid as one conjures the physical in one’s own mind, much the way our forebearers enjoyed radio dramas and comedies before television. . . its relevance and parallels to our time are especially striking in the details put forth by this excellent dramatic rendition." - syracuse.com
