We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19 Dear Taxi Taxi NY community, Our Business is changing due to COVID-19:... We have implemented Sanitizing Protocols at the beginning and end of every shift. With that being said, we have also added Sneeze Guards to all vehicles for customer and Driver Safety. We ask all customers to please wear a mask upon entry of the Taxi picking you up. We have changed our hours. From Sun-Tuesday we are only open from 6 am- 6 pm. From Wed- Saturday we are open 24 hours. We are being cautious before opening back up at full speed. Please be patient with us! We now offer contact-less payment through Square (Apple/Google pay) and the ability to charge CC in every single vehicle. WE ARE OPEN After a month of being closed due to COVID19 - We are happy to say WE’RE BACK! We are not 100 % staffed or open 24/7 yet. However, we will be easing into full time hours and hoping to be fully staffed over the next few months. We have implemented some new policies and will be taken into affect immediately: . Temp Hours 5:30 am- 7 pm Drivers Temperature Checks every shift... You must wear PPE before enteringIf un-masked the driver has the right to deny any person a ride. We have installed see through Sneeze and Cough Guards in all our vehicles which are NYC TLC approved. This is to make your riding experience safe and enjoyable. All Vehicles are cleaned and Sanitized Daily If you need a ride to the hospital, Dr, Med Clinic or Emergency Clinic for possible symptoms of COVID 19 please inform our dispatcher so our staff and drivers can take the proper precautions. Please wear gloves and masks upon entering a cab. We will no longer Double up on rides. Cab rides will not be shared for health precautions. Understand that this will increase wait times. We no longer have access to send out text messages upon arrival. We are working hard to get this feature back! We have limited cabs on the road, Please understand we are trying our best to serve the community. Wait times will be increased. We accept CC over the phone with a $10 minimum plus tax and service fees and are in process of getting contactless devices in our vehicles. Reminder: We have video surveillance in all cabs! In Response to the Global Pandemic Taxi Taxi has TEMPORARILY closed it’s doors for 2 weeks. We care about the saftey of our Drivers, Staff and our Community. We understand how this could be a huge inconvenience for other essential works and those in need of NEMT transportation. We apologize, however, keeping up with DOH, CDC guidlelines and aquiring PPE has been difficult. We are using this time to restructure our business, Install sneeze guards/protection barriers, imple...ment new COVID policies and guidelines for drivers (temperature checks, symptom checks) and passengers, give drivers proper training on these guidelines and Proper Professional Weekly Steam Sanitation on top of the already Daily Sanitizing Protocols we have already implemented. We have recommended Our staff and Drivers to use this time to relax and put their health first. Taxi Drivers are a huge part of community infrastructure and have been on the front lines putting themselves at risk daily. Taxi Taxi is still open for business and we are trying our best to keep our riders and staff safe. Since day 1 We have implemented Sanitary Protocols and all our drivers have been supplied with Masks and Gloves. Please, please! If you are sick DO NOT leave your homes. Using Taxi services when you are sick, at a time where everyone’s immune systems are being compromised is not Safe for anyone! We ask that you think about this before leaving the house. Our drivers are doing our... best to service the community as well as the medical community. We are on the front lines driving other essential workers to their place of work as well as medical patients that are immune compromised to their medical visits. We need everyone to follow the guidelines! Wear a mask and gloves! We request that you try to pay with a CC over the phone rather than cash. However we are taking both forms of payment. We have requested drivers to keep windows open when it’s 50 degrees and up to allow for air to flow freely during your cab ride. We are only transporting 1 person at a time and are not doubling up cabs, unless you have a small child with you. Please understand that during this time wait times will be increased. Thank you!
