I found out our virtually brand new little french fryer broke right after I peeled and cut up a bunch of Potatoes. No Frites this weekend unless something changes. I am going to make Magnolia Bakeries famous Banana Pudding which really rocks...

The Den is currently experiencing a stove issue that will mostly likely not be fixed by Friday. So Papa Bear's Kitchen will not be functional when we open. We will have Bubble Tea, cookies etc. The Teddy Bear Museum, gift shop and play spaces are fully operational. I will keep you posted. Sorry and thanks!

Our last Trip Advisor review from Sep 2020. Please don't take our word for it, come and see for yourself! FYI no toys from China. I did show them exclusives made just for Japan, Germany, Austria, UK, US and Holland. See below: One of the best museums I've ever been to! A MUST-SEE!... "Went today early in the morning and was able to catch the owner and curator Steve alone! He gave my fiance and I an amazing tour of the history of Steiff toys. We all wore masks and Steve was very respectful of social distancing. He was able to show us toys from China, Germany, UK, etc., even his own mother in law's personal collection! I've always loved my childhood stuffed animals but the love he has for his collection is unmatched. Listening to him recount the history of the museum and it's contents gave me a much-needed beam of light in the current dark circumstances of the world. I was so happy he gave us a personalized tour as I feel like I've learned so much from such an interesting person! His child-like wonder was truly beautiful to see and I ended up bringing home Mungo the Monkey. As we are currently in pandemic times, it was quiet, but Steve said the property is usually bustling as they hold picnics and community activities on the grounds. It is a beautiful spot that I'd recommend anyone to go to. Such a delight! Next time I'm in the area, I would visit again! I hope this museum is here for decades to come!"

We are honored to announce that the Toy Industry Association (TIA) The Toy Association has bestowed its highest award upon the founder of our company: Marga...rete Steiff (1847-1909) will be inducted into the Toy Industry Hall of Fame! She is known as the pioneer who sewed the world’s very first plush toy, changing the world of play forever. It is hard to imagine a more fitting honoree for the Toy Industry Hall of Fame, said Jim Pitocco, President of Steiff North America. Margarete became one of the world’s earliest female CEOs, despite societal norms and her physical disabilities. More than a century after her death, her long-stated philosophy is still the company’s guiding principle: ‘Only the best is good enough for our children'." Her legacy will be recognized during the TIA’s annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards, known as the Oscars of the toy industry, set to be held virtually on February 12, 2021. http://www.toyassociation.org//toy-industry-hall-of-fame-h'
