Soundview Compass began as a Transdisciplinary Design studio course, studying aspects of service design through Soundview Park in the Bronx. Soundview Compass connected with two 9th-grade classes at Bronx Compass High School, and engaged them in learning and communicating about the park, and about changing perceptions. They helped us beta-test a cross between a scavenger hunt and a map-making kit.

ScienceGenius in Action at Bronx Compass High School. ScienceGenius has a great idea and teaches science by rapping. It catch the student mind to pay attention and to participate. Chris Emdin is the brainchild of ScienceGenius who believes the curriculum will address low tests scores, especially among Latino and African American students who comprise 70 percent of New York City's student body.

Bronx Compass High School is one of the school that had been selected for Software Engineering Pilot program. Software Engineering Pilot program is a part of the city’s efforts to prepare more students for careers in the growing technology sector. It allows grade 6-12 to covers topics like computer programming, embedded electronics, web design and program, e-textiles, robotics and mobile computing.
