The Cottage has been decorated in a variety of styles from traditional to transitional. Tony Manning, our Showhouse Producer and famous for his many Hampton Designer Showhouses said, showhouses are often predictors on new colors in decorating. It’s all about the small details in the guest room and en-suite created by today’s designer of the day @ashbournedesigns! Designer: Christine Gentile Firm: Ashbourne Room: Guest Room 1 & En-Suite... My inspiration for the bedroom started with the beautiful Cowtan and Tout fabric used on the window treatments.The delicate embroidery with white and natural threads on the pale blue background was perfect for the location and style of the Summer Cottage. Reminiscent of pampas grass with an elegant and casual feeling, all the other design elements fell into place. - Christina

Room: Guest Room 4... Our space is a glamorous guest suite designed as a luxe retreat for a guest to the Summer Cottage. We used the concept of 'new traditionalist’ to impact our overall design, incorporating vintage furniture, classic details such as bullion fringe, and classic wallpapers, but that were then reupholstered, applied, and styled in new and fresh ways to keep the space modern. - Courtney

This dreamy master bedroom suite was designed by today’s designer of the day @hamptonhostess! Designer: Barbara Page Glatt Firm: Barbara Page Home Room: Master Bedroom Suite... The room was inspired a visit to YSL's famous Villa Oasis home in Marrakech last February. I referenced the villa's famous Blue Salon with Thibaut's Palampore print on the rooms drapes and Tangier woven wallpaper in the vestibule were a wonderful launching points for the room as they reference Moroccan textiles. Your bedroom should be a refuge, an elegant, restful space and I find the most calming colors to be in the blue family. Also, blue and white is a classic, timeless combination! - Barbara

Today’s designer of the day is @alannaalbanesedesigns! Desginer: Alanna Albanese Firm: Alanna Albanese Designs Room: Laundry Room & Linen Room... The Laundry and Linen rooms were designed to keep the nostalgia of the home but add a contemporary twist. The black and white Serena and Lily Seahaven Toile wallpaper is a modern take on a traditional pattern and is reminiscentof the seascape surrounding Caumsett.

Thank you to @sienamarble for providing the tile found throughout the Caumsett Designer Showhouse! From brilliant white to Carrara to stunning basket weave tiles for the bathrooms, the laundry room, the mudroom and the backsplash. Our next designer of the day @ciuffocabinetry designed what we can only describe as kitchen goals! Designer: Gary Ciuffo Firm: Ciuffo Cabinetry Room: Kitchen... Ciuffo Cabinetry designed and built this transitional kitchen and butler's pantry cabinetry with transitional touches to blend old and new styles together seamlessly. Soft white custom cabinetry are accented by gleaming kitchen hardware by Top Knobs. The kitchen is highlighted against the elegant Calacatta countertops provided by Silestone by Cosentino and Carrara backsplash provided by Siena Marble & Tile. Stainless steel appliances from Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove and some of the most innovative Kohler faucets and fixtures blend flawlessly into this bright and cozy kitchen.

May the force be with you and our designer of the day @vintagedesignny! Designer: Rachel Florez Firm: Vintage Interior Design Inc. Room: Guest Room 3... The crib and display cases were custom made, designed by me specifically for this project.Many of the design decisions were based on my desire to maintain an understated Star Wars vibe through the whole design. The choice of the grays and blacks were selected as a nod to the Star Wars spaceship colors. The desert like motif on the front of the changing table and also on the roman shade are reminiscent of desert plant landscapes shown throughout the films. All of the accessories and artwork were selected to solidify the Star Wars theme. - Rachel

I designed my space as a place to enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine. With a nod to the French Joie de Vivre, I was also inspired by nature and used many sustainable products such as the rug, pouf, and throw made of recycled plastic bottles doing my part to remove plastics from our oceans.
