Happy MINI MONDAY! It's block FOUR already! I hope you're following along with me and making your own blocks. If you're new to minis or a pro these blocks are good ones....not too complicated. Like this week's...it's a simple 4 patch!... I'm making mine with the 12 days of Christmas fabric line available here in the shop. But these blocks are great to use up your scraps! The pattern is from the Temecula Quilt Shop's blog. It's called We wish You a mini Christmas. You can find it and many more free patterns there. This week I made two different ones. Welcome to my first Facebook sew-a-long! It's a free pattern from the Temecula Quilt Shop's blog called WE WISH YOU A MINI CHRISTMAS. You can find the pattern listed on the right side on her blog or... you can tune in each Mon with me here to find the next mini block pattern!... The FIRST BLOCK is a simple friendship star... HAPPY WHAT'S HAPPENING WEDNESDAY!!! Just a few new announcements this week... There's a SHOP HOP this Fri/Sat the 25th/26th...Mark your calendars and hope to see you then!... I'm also posting a photo of the free pattern. A few pre-cut kits are available...come early! It's a mini quilt (leaf blocks are ONLY 2 1/4" ) but is very doable! Are you interested in making more mini quilts? Well you must join in my virtual sew-a-long! It's a pattern from the Temecula Quilt Shop's blog...called We Wish You A Mini Christmas. You can check out her blog and find the free pattern (listed on the right side of blog) or join me every MONDAY for a new block post to make that week! The blocks are very quick and easy to make....really! The sew-a-long will last for 12 weeks from Mon Sept 28th- Mon Dec 14th! Only one little block a week! I'll post my block with the pattern each week. I'll be using the 12days of Christmas to available here at the shop. So join me and try something new...or improve your technique! It'll be FUN!!! Also I have some new quality 1/4" elastic in the shop! Great for those masks that take a beating! And finally...I have some new grab bags available. They go fast so claim yours soon! Happy WHAT'S HAPPENING WEDNESDAY!!! There's some new fabric in the shop this week! I received some really cute kid prints. A very fun monkey and zebra that matches a new counting book panel! How about making a cloth book and a matching quilt for a lucky kid! Or how about making the book panel into a quilt! You may see that as a sample soon!... Also in are some new "Christmas" bolts. Christmas in quotes because they certainly can be used in other non-Christmas projeects. The colors are much more vibrant in person. Come in soon and check them out! I also received a really nice white on green snowflake print! Very pretty! Here's a sneak peak at the free pattern for the shop hop! It's a perfect pattern for a beginner, new to mini making!
