Starting December, we'll be running our Annual Sock Drive to benefit Little Portion Friary as a way to give back this Holiday Season. The mission of Little Portion Friary is to journey with the homeless, providing temporary shelter, meals, and counseling during their struggle to acquire permanent housing and jobs. Socks are their #1 most needed item. We'll be running the sock drive all month long. We'll have a box by the front door at each office location to drop them off at. Thank you again to everyone who helped last year. We appreciate your support so much. We're blessed to have amazing patients like you!

Thank you so much to everyone who has helped support our annual Sock Drive benefiting Little Portion Friary so far! We've been made aware that they are also in desperate need of hats and gloves/mittens. Any hats and gloves/mittens in good shape are welcome! Thank you for the continued support!

Dear patients, With our region being in the orange zone, we felt it important to assure you that we are doing the utmost in disinfection of our offices since we have reopened. The following are the additional protocols we have instituted since our reopening in June. -Mandatory COVID-19 health screening questions before every visit ... -Use of extra-oral suction units in every room to evacuate aerosols -Use of UVC light sanitation -Use of no-touch forehead thermometers -HEPA air filters throughout the building -Additional PPE: N95 masks, face shields, surgical caps and gowns -Hourly wipe downs of waiting room area and patient restrooms -30-second pre-rinse rinse before treatment to reduce virus if present in salvia -Use of sanitizing foggers to disinfect at the end of each day -Disinfecting of every surface and space after each patient We will continue to work diligently to provide you with the same service as always while following all of the above protocols and those recommended by the CDC and the NYSDOH. We want you to feel assured that you are safe when visiting our offices during this time. Thank you for your continued trust and confidence in us. Sincerely, The Doctors & Staff of The Buffalo Dental Group

Going back to school is an excellent time to reset and establish new routines for your family! Here are some tips on how to establish top-notch daily dental hygiene care. - Have a set time every night that your kids brush and floss their teeth - Use songs or short Youtube video clips to brush to - Use a brushing chart and turn it into a game! - Who said brushing your teeth can't be fun? Try some dental Apps like Magik Toothbrush. Kids can choose from 15 different imaginary ...worlds in the app and, as a reward, kids can unlock Snapchat-like camera effects and stickers when they've brushed well. - Have family brushing time! Don't let sensitive teeth ruin your summer treats Do you suffer from chronically sensitive teeth? There IS something you can do about it! Most commonly patients that suffer from sensitive teeth usually have gum recession. Recession is when the gums creep higher and expose the root of the tooth The roots of our teeth are very sensitive to temperature when they're not covered by the gums and can easily be worn down by toothbrush bristles or even the acid in our daily food...s and drinks leaving notches or grooves. Reasons that recession can occur include-brushing too hard, plaque build-up, bone loss, and clenching/grinding Here are some solutions: 1. Sensodyne! It works! But you have to use it daily. 2. Consider small white fillings to cover the notched out area on the root (called buccal fillings). Come in for a consult with your doctor to find out your options!

The Buffalo Dental Group 29.07.2020

We are beyond excited to announce that we are officially reopening our offices this Monday, June 8th, 2020. We ask that you please be patient and understand that we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs as we know many of you are anxious to get back into our office. As infection control has always been our top priority, we follow all recommendations and guidelines made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (...CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We believe you can never be too safe, so we also have incorporated extra precautions beyond their recommendations. -Before your appointment we will ask if you have traveled, or if you or someone you’ve been in contact with has experienced any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, loss of taste and/or smell, flu-like symptoms, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and fatigue. We will need to postpone any appointments if you answer yes to this. -We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for us to disinfect all areas of use in between patient appointments. -Upon arrival at our office, call us before entering the office to let us know you have arrived. We will call or text you once the office is ready for you to enter. One of our team members will greet you at the front door. We ask that patients enter the office unaccompanied, if possible. For those patients who need a guardian to accompany them, we ask that this be limited to a single family member. -Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry. We will confirm no fever with a contactless thermometer upon your arrival. -Clear plastic screens have been installed at the front desk to minimize exposure to airborne pathogens. -Medical-grade high efficiency particulate arrestance (HEPA) air purifiers have been installed in the office to help improve the air quality in the area for all patients, family members, and staff. -Our doctors and staff will be wearing all of the recommended personal protective equipment (PPE). -We have incorporated UVC light sanitation We’re looking forward to seeing your smiling faces and reuniting with our patient family!

The Buffalo Dental Group 22.07.2020

We are so eager to welcome you back into our offices! As we have received the green light from federal and state governments to reopen, we are still getting the offices ready to open. To ensure our patients and staff are safe, we have added many new safety precautions and need to wait for all of the proper PPE to come in before we can safely reopen. We will call you to get you scheduled. In the meantime, an official email will be sent out with that reopening date. Thank you so much for your patience, and we can’t wait to see our patient family again soon!

Staying hydrated is one of the best things you can do for your teeth - especially if it’s fluoridated! Fluoridated water protects against cavities and root caries. By drinking plenty of water, you’re supporting salvia production and helping improve your oral and overall health!
