Beautiful macro floral photography greeting cards are now available at our farm store from photographer Nancy Gardner. These cards are stunning and catch the close up beauty of flowers & plants alike. They're blank on the inside & perfect for any occasion. I know we live in a digital age where you can send a text in thirty seconds or make a call, send an email, zoom, face time whatever...but there's something simple and sweet about sending a card in the mail. ... I know it's old-school. But there's still the thrill of excitement when you check the mail and you get something addressed to you that isn't a credit card bill or car payment or some sad attempt at scam mail. Am I right? Or is this just me?? Sending a card to a loved one, family member, friend or pen pal is a wonderful way to stay connected. It lets that person know that they're thought of, cared about and that you went the extra mile to tell them that. It's a simple reminder that times might be tough, but they're not forgotten. Isolation is a BIG deal. It leads to loneliness that in turn can lead to serious conditions like depression at any age or early onset dementia in older folks. Something as small as a hand written letter or card can make a difference in the day, week or even month of someone who might be lonely due to the ongoing isolation from this pandemic. Cards are genuine reminders of love. They're small, they're simple but oftentimes they're the perfect way to get the point across. You can find these beauties in our plant room. 14 unique photographs to choose from keeps the selection interesting, especially for the nature lover! Open daily, 8am-6pm. . . . #thechathamberryfarm #chathamny #localmaker #supportart #thoughtfulgift #macrophotography #greetingcards #sendlove #supportoneanother #bekind #youreverydayfarmersmarket #isolation #pandemicmode #plantroom #summervibes #flowerpower #plantcards #floralphotography #localtalent #shopsmall #upstateny #thoughtoftheday
Joe, Aidan & Maggie are hard at work in the hydroponic greenhouse! Right now, they're working on a full conversion of the current bucket system to a propagation greenhouse, which means lots of cleaning, scrubbing and prepping. All of the bato buckets are being sanitized and set aside to make more bench space for future plants for the garden center. This greenhouse will then begin transition back to hydroponic growing mid summer to maximize production. Winter is a great ti...me to catch up and prep for upcoming projects. I'm super excited to switch gears and spend more time in the greenhouse. Now is the time for planning & planting. Spring will be here in no time! . . . #thechathamberryfarm #chathamny #upstateny #greenhousegrown #hydroponics #thinkspring #winterprojects #greenhouseconversion #propagation #seedstarting #columbiacountyny #shoplocal #thecbf #farmdog #youreverydayfarmersmarket
