Hi Everyone! We have had yet another incredibly successful Valentine’s Day at The Chocolate Box Cafe, and that’s going to make what I have to say bittersweet { pardon the pun!}. We are taking this show on the road. Tomorrow Saturday February 16th of 2019 will be our last day being open at 300-a Columbus Avenue in Tuckahoe NY. We thank you for this being our first Brick and Mortar storefront. Now it’s time for the next chapter... our food truck is almost finished being built a...nd then it will be a month for shipping... this is our next evolution and we are incredibly excited and happy. We will miss seeing you on a daily basis, but please know we are still here. I was able to realize part of my dream here, I was able to be part of a major fundraiser with Eastchester High school, I’ve met great people and made many new friends. You can still place your orders, I will deliver to you ( save you even more time!), we are still doing wholesale and now, we’re joining forces with great company in the food truck race!! I’ll be posting where and when we will be at various events and locations and we really hope to see all of you there. Look who came in to order her Valentines Day CANDY GRAMS!!! Nala!!! Once again supporting the Eastchester High School Therapy Dog Program!!! I had to tell her she has to be at the high school next Monday through Wednesday feb 4th-6th so that the student government can take her orders! The proceeds from the sale go to the Golden Retrievers and their Classes!! The students get to buy candy grams for their friends to be delivered to their friends’ home rooms on Valentine’s Morning! I’d like to take this moment to thank all of my wonderful customers for making this another successful year. We have introduce beautiful new products like Pastosa Pasta and Longford’s Ice Cream, as well as joining forces with Uber Eats to allow us to get our food out for those that can’t get out and about. We had our fun loving interns that did great jobs. We’ve accomplished our very important goal of getting a TRUE fundraiser up and running for the Eastchester High School Th...erapy Dog Program- our pies and chocolate for Thanksgiving and Christmas enabled them to raise OVER $1600.00 in a little over two Months. The kids are being helped, the dogs are being trained, the kids that help train them, achieve amazing goals. It’s so multi faceted, it’s an honor to be involved. Well, it’s official, I have been up and running this shop for two years. What a journey it has been. I opened it on this day, December 10th to honor the strongest woman I have ever known. My Grandma. I have continued to run it the way she would have, been kind to my staff, loved my clients, been charitable, and have made the hard decisions I knew she would have approved of and understood. She was a daughter, a wife, a mother, a business woman , and entrepreneur, a teacher in her own right, a Grandma, a great grandma and a great great grandma. Happy anniversary store, and happy birthday my grandma.

Spring has come and Summer is almost here. Sadly these two are still waiting for their forever home. They have a wonderful foster family but they need a home to... call their own. Space is extremely limited. We are small. We are one of the few that invest in the long timers in the city shelter systems. We take the medical cases and dogs in need of training and rehabilitation. Timmy and Mary spent over two years at the Yonkers Animal Shelter We pulled them last Summer. They were adopted and returned. They have been fully trained by our good friends at Allied Dog Training. Mary (Black and white) is 6-7 years old and Timmy is 4-5. Timmy warms up faster than Mary who takes about five minutes. Although little in size they both have personality plus. They need a leader to ensure they live with rules, structure and boundaries. An adult only home would be best with low traffic and no other dogs. Cats would be ok. They love to run and play in the yard. Timmy and Mary are fixed, UTD on shots, housebroken and crate trained. They are located in Southern Dutchess County NY and an adopter must be willing to come meet them and participate in handling lessons with our trainer 2-3 times. These two are safe but our foster would really like to help us save another dog in need. Will you please share this bonded pair and help me find them a home? We’ve tweaked our hours from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday through Friday Saturday 8-4 and Sunday hours are from 9-3- we also are setting up Uber eats and it should be up and running by next week- the photo shoot was today! We also got In Our LONGFORDS ice cream yesterday and we trained today on how to scoop ice cream! ( yes one must train or we won’t showcase this wonderful product the way it deserves to be!) we also started with some really delicious new menu items- ie: avocado toast with the option of poached eggs and bacon, ice cream sundaes and smoothie bowls, cake pops - our website is just about ready too!
