This week is the last week of Just Our Type. Make sure to visit today or Friday, from 12-6!

The Sue & Leon Genet Gallery 05.11.2020

#FontFriday: Did you know the official typeface of Syracuse University is called Sherman? The typeface was originally designed in 1910 by Frederic W. Goudy for Frederic F. Sherman, a publisher. Today, it has been digitally redrawn by Chester Jenkins, of the type foundry, Village, for exclusive use of the university. Want to learn more? Stop in to the The Sue & Leon Genet Gallery today! From the Frederic W. Goudy Collection, Special Collections Research Center, Syracuse University Libraries.
